A MESSAGE FROM THE CAPTAIN

Discovery Academy sits at the heart of the Norfolk Park Estate in Sheffield and first opened its doors in September 2022. We are proudly part of the award‑winning Nexus Multi Academy Trust, a family of fourteen special schools and a mainstream primary across South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.Today, our Academy is home to 121 incredible young people; our crew of Dreamers, Believers and Achievers. Every student has a diagnosis of autism and brings their own strengths, perspectives and ways of experiencing the world. Our role is to embrace those differences, nurture their confidence and guide them towards fulfilling their potential as young adults.In 2025, Ofsted recognised the strength of our provision, judging Discovery Academy Good in all areas. Inspectors highlighted our warm relationships, our ambitious curriculum and the way pupils re‑engage with learning, grow in self‑belief and feel genuinely understood. This outcome reflects the dedication of our staff, the trust of our families and the remarkable resilience of our students.On behalf of our whole crew, we feel genuinely privileged to be part of your child’s journey.
