Friends of Discovery Academy School
Who are we?
The Friends of Discovery School (FDAS) is a group which is like a Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) but is wider and open to people outside the parent/ carer community if they would like to help us raise funds.
The mission of FDAS is to raise funds to support the education of children who attend our school, who all have a diagnosis of Autism. We have used the funds raised in a number of ways, including supporting the development of a kitchen/ sensory garden and a mud kitchen for lower school pupils, and funding an expedition to enable upper school pupils to achieve a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
If you are a parent or carer of a child who attends Discovery, or a member of the community who would like to help, we would love to hear from you! You can contact us at: friendsofdiscovery@hotmail.com
School Lottery
FDAS has organised a School Lottery. It is simple to join and use and tickets are £1 each. Every player has a chance to win a school cash prize every week, or even a prize of £25,000. All profits go directly to support the education of children at Discovery.
